Employee Promotion Spotlight: Assistant Manager, Sean S.

Sean S. has been a medical marijuana patient in some capacity since 2011 following a snowboarding accident in Aspen, Colorado. His passion for the plant drove him to take steps as an activist in the field. Sean spent time working as a volunteer advocate collecting signatures to get Amendment 64 on the ballot, prior to Colorado’s legalization in 2012.

Prior to relocating to Pennsylvania, Sean worked in the Medical Marijuana industry in Colorado. With the knowledge he gained from budtending and trimming in the grow operation of an influential dispensary in Boulder, he felt being a Product Specialist at TerraVida in Sellersville would be a perfect fit. “Medical Marijuana gave me access to safe and natural pain relief.” he said. “The more I learned about cannabis and all of its incredibly healing nuances, the more I wanted to fight for other people to have access. Seeing people take control of their health and pain relief is one of the most fulfilling aspects of my job.” Eventually moving back to Pennsylvania, he made the decision to apply to TerraVida because he felt it to be the top medical marijuana company in Pennsylvania, as well as a place where he could continue to do what he loves. “To this day, I always feel privileged when I have the opportunity to work directly, one-on-one with our patients.” he stated.

“I wanted to be a part of a team that was like a family, and to work with people that had a shared goal of helping others navigate both the bureaucratic complexities and the intricate science involved in using cannabis as medicine.” he said. He appreciated that TerraVida’s mission was to be patient-centered, as well as demonstrated community outreach and responsiveness. “My wife, Megan, was working as a Patient Care Coordinator in Sellersville the day the doors opened for the first time, so I had the unique ability to really observe how the company operated – and I was impressed.” Sean’s hard work has paid off and has recently been promoted to Assistant Manager of our Sellersville location!

When he isn’t assisting patients, Sean spends his free time hanging out with his family, which includes his wife, two daughters, two cats, and two dogs. They enjoy hiking together, paddleboarding at Lake Nockamixon, or just spending the day at the beach! Depending on the season, his favorite hobbies include disc golfing and snowboarding.

Congratulations, Sean!
