Employee Spotlight: Christina C.
Christina C. has always been an advocate for cannabis, especially its medicinal uses.
Starting her career in the Army as a member of the Military Police, Christina dedicated her life to helping others. “I always wanted to help people and do something bigger than myself, which is why I enlisted.” she stated. “I’ve found that I can do this in this industry, as well.”
After completing her time in the Army, Christina had worked in New Jersey medical dispensary where she conducted patient consultations and worked in their grow facility. She also had an opportunity to make her way over to Oregon to work on a ranch at an outside grow. When she heard that ACT 16, the law that established the Pennsylvania Medical Marijuana Program passed, she knew she wanted to be involved. As a native of the Keystone State, Christina ensured she researched every dispensary opening, and found TerraVida Holistic Centers stuck out to her the most. “I immediately felt at home and inspired by Chris Visco, owner and President of TerraVida, and her vision - before even stepping foot in her buildings. I now officially love what I do and who I do it for.” she stated.
Christina feels that her experience in the medical marijuana industry has made her a more patient and understanding person. “Everyone we see is suffering from some type of ailment or condition; you hear so many stories and see so many people from different walks of life who are all struggling.” she stated. “It’s both humbling and rewarding being able to watch how the patients’ change for the better.” She is even touched by this holistic medicine personally, as well. “I have had close family members suffer from opiate addiction and medical marijuana helped with the recovery process.”
When she isn’t managing the dispensary, you can find Christina outdoors. “I am a conservationist and live for hunting and fishing any chance I can get. I even drive around with a fishing pole in my truck and ready to go!” she said. Being an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, you can also catch her at the Lincoln Financial Field cheering on the Birds!
Thanks for being a part of the team, Christina!
