PurePenn, a licensed grower-processor of medical marijuana, will harvest its first plants that will be distributed to dispensaries beginning next week.

The McKeesport-based facility will be sold as Moxie by PurePenn at Solevo Wellness in Squirrel Hill, TerraVida Holistic Center in Sellersville and Cure Pennsylvania in Phoenixville, according to a news release.

“We take the utmost care with our growing process, which means that in addition to having the best plants with proprietary genetics, we put quality and consistency before profit -- never rushing nature and only harvesting at maximum peak after our employees have meticulously nurtured each plant,” said PurePenn CEO Gabe Perlow in a prepared statement. “Right now we are processing this robust harvest, and soon patients will have access to superior medical strains that previously were available only in California or outside the U.S.”

Other licensed dispensaries will receive the products the following week, the release said.
