Who can be a Caregiver?

Anyone 21+ can become a
caregiver for a patient with the registration and purchase of
a Medical Marijuana Card.

Common Reasons for a Caregiver

18 and Under Patients

Patients aged 18 or younger are not able to enter or purchase from PA dispensaries. If a patient is under 18 and has registered to be apart of the program, a designated caregiver must register and pickup/deliver their medicine.

Limiting Disabilities

Some patients have physical limitations in terms of transportation and mobility. In this instance, a designated caregiver is registered to pick up and deliver the patient’s medicine.

Schedule/Accessibility

Not all patients are local or have an ample amount of time to travel to a dispensary of choice. A caregiver can assist in getting the patient medication more regularly if they are closer/have a more open schedule.
